Sharing is Caring

Here's the very first blog entry from one of our most recent volunteers, Aarti Kulkarni, on her delight on returning to her Maternal class after a few days in the office and her impressions on working with the babies since she's begun volunteering here at Proyecto Horizonte.

I was back with the little babies after two days in the office and
realised just how much I've missed them. Considering I am not a baby
person at all, this is a pleasant surprise.

It was wonderful to be greeted by warm smiles from the usual suspects
like Belinda, Said, Wilbur, Caren, Jose Miguel and what's a warm
welcome when not accompanied by some good old fashioned mischief.
There's never a dull moment with dancing, play time, story telling,
fun videos, and enough to keep the teachers, assistants and volunteers
on their toes.

Here's two of our babies sharing a little snack
What I really enjoy about these tiny tots is that even though they are
so young, they have already imbibed the wonderful qualities of warmth,
friendship and sharing. If one is crying, the other goes over and
shares a toy, if one is eating a snack, they happily share with the
other.
